Our Story

An Aussie family with big dreams, inspired by one very energetic dog.

We’re a family living in a rural Australian town on the East Coast surrounded by waterfalls, forests, and pristine beaches. Life here is simple, raw, and beautiful and it’s where Point & Retrieve was born.

When we welcomed our first German Shorthaired Pointer (Cali) into the family, everything changed. Her boundless energy and love for the outdoors inspired us to get up earlier, explore more, and live in the moment. Like so many dogs do, she became our motivation, our adventure partner, and our reminder to slow down and appreciate the beauty in everyday life. We went from rushing through our busy days to really appreciating all that we have around us and making each day count. Our life has got a little busier since welcoming our second GSP (Gunner). 

This brand started as a dream. One of our daughters, with a love for dogs and a natural eye for design, dreamt of creating a business. With her creativity leading the way, our whole family jumped in. From designing and photographing products to packing orders and managing socials, our family are all involved in every step of the process. We see this as more than just a business, it’s a way to teach our children about community, hard work and dedication, creativity, and following their passions.

At Point & Retrieve, we are more than just another business selling everyday dog gear. We design practical, high-quality pieces that have been tested and tweaked for dog loving families who want to roam, explore, and live fully with their pups by their side. We want to encourage others to get outside and explore.
